What People Are Saying

Stu is a very prolific musician and an excellent teacher! He is very patient and works with you at a reasonable pace for each student. I studied harmonica with him at Mercer College and now take online piano lessons for over 3 years now. He does not pressure you but keeps pushing for and makes good progress with his students! Great teacher and I highly recommend him!

It is rare to have someone be both a Great Musician as well as a Great Teacher. However Stu embodies all the qualities of both a Great Musician and a Great Teacher. I have taken both Harmonica, Alto Sax and Guitar Lessons from him. He emphasizes proper technique when learning an
instrument.

I HIGHLY recommend Stu as a music teacher. The library where I work (Norfolk Library in Norfolk, CT) offered a 6-week adult harmonica class with Stu. In addition to working with Stu on the logistics of the course as a library employee, I also attended as a student. In both regards, Stu is an excellent teacher and presenter. As a presenter, he clearly communicated with the library in a timely manner. We were well prepared for offering the course. As a student, I enjoyed Stus teaching style immensely! He is patient and encouraging and we had a lot of fun in the course. Several of the other students in the course have all shared that they found Stu to have excellent teaching skills. In fact, the students and the Library were so pleased with the class, we are offering a 6-week Harmonica II class to begin in May.

I started Harmonica with Stuart Great experience ! When I found out he teaches Guitar I tried a lesson . It was so good I now go weekly . A real gentleman !

Stu had great online interaction with his students, he provided constructive critiques, I appreciated that he listened to his students and taught us some advanced (bending) techniques and helped provide us with backup music (even doing it himself most times) so that we had it for our final concert. Most importantly, I took this class for fun and to be able to play the harmonica since it is nice and portable. It was a blast and very well run. I bought 3 family members their own harmonica as an added Christmas gift and they’re having a ball. I knew nothing when I started and now, I pull off harmonica songs from the Internet. I could probably go on but the best I could say is that I would highly recommend his class.

I got out of this beginner harmonica class exactly what I hoped: I learned how to play a few tunes, I got psyched to keep playing, and I had a blast.
The end-of-course concert was a good motivator to practice, practice, practice
